CMA Workshop in Bloemfontein, Free State
It’s all about running! In line with its 2013 campaign - ‘U are ultraordinary!’ - the Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) has catered for its ardent runners from all corners of South Africa.
The CMA marketing team will visit the Free State next week where it will motivate runners to best prepare for their 2013 Comrades Marathon challenge on June 2nd.
This sought-after workshop will be hosted by the Nedbank Bloem Achilles Club at the Bloemfontein Achilles Sports Centre, cnr of At Horak and Parfitt Avenue in Bloemfontein on Tuesday, 29 January 2013 at 19h00.
On hand to share the great news of the world’s oldest and biggest ultra-marathon will be the CMA Marketing Coordinator, Thami Vilakazi who will be joined by the Official Comrades Marathon Coach, Lindsey Parry and other experienced runners.
Together, the team will advise all enthusiasts of ‘The Ultimate Human Race’ about the necessary training and injury prevention tips that will not only see them to the Comrades Marathon start but also take them through the finish line, come Race Day.
Says CMA's Marketing Coordinator Thami Vilakazi: 'These sought-after workshops have proven to be a great source of motivation to our runners. Not only are we equipped to answer any questions regarding the 88th Comrades Marathon, but we will also have fitness experts on hand to advise novices and experienced runners on how to prepare themselves for peak performance.'
Many runners have credited these workshops for their excellent performances on the grueling 89km route.
Vilakazi adds, “These workshops are a rich source of first-hand information. Runners have an opportunity to ask any race-related questions or enquire about training and injury prevention techniques, as the Comrades Marathon’s Official Coach is always on hand to respond to such queries.”
These workshops are open to everyone and they are free of charge. For information on more workshops across the country and contact details of the various athletics clubs, please visit the CMA website at www.comrades.com or call the CMA on 033 897 8650
