As of 1 September 2011 to date, the ‘Early Bird’ fee is a discounted rate of R270.00 compared to the regular price of R300.00 which is only applicable to South African runners. Entry fees for athletes from the rest of Africa is R500.00 and the cost to international runners is $US180.00.
Entries for Comrades 2012 have been coming in hard and fast! As of this morning (Friday, 30.9.2011), the entry barometer stands at 7907.
The entry process for the 87th staging of South Africa’s most famous road-running fixture opened on Spring Day, 1 September and will close on Wednesday, 30 November 2011.
The entry period is three months long and open to all athletes, irrespective of them being veteran or novice Comrades runners. Entries have been limited to a maximum of 18000 runners and no extensions will be granted.
Entries close strictly on 30 November 2011 or as soon as 18,000 entries have been received (e.g. if 18 000 entries are received by the 10 November 2011, then no further entries will be accepted).
