ALL ROADS LEAD TO EDENDALE THIS SUNDAY

With more than R20,000 in prize money up for grabs at this weekend’s Greater Edendale Race, entries are coming in thick and fast. The 11th edition of the highly anticipated community running event will be hosted on Sunday, 12 November 2017 at the FNB Wadley Stadium in Georgetown, Edendale.

The event remains one of the Comrades Marathon Association’s (CMA) most powerful CSI initiatives, which is hosted in conjunction with the Msunduzi Municipality and the uMsunduzi Pietermaritzburg Tourism Association (MPTA).

Entries are currently being taken at Comrades Marathon House – 18 Connaught Road in Scottsville between 09h00 and 16h00 until this Thursday (9.11.2017). Entries will also be taken on race day at the FNB Wadley Stadium from 05h00 to 07h00.

Runners will be required to supply the following details when making their entry: First Name/ Surname/ Gender/ Cellular Number/ Identity Number/ Date of Birth/ Running Club/ License Number.

Those athletes who have already entered the race manually, are asked to please present themselves at the Information Tent on race day, to collect their race numbers and to get their personal details captured on the database.

The event starts at 07h30 at the FNB Wadley Stadium in Georgetown, Edendale. The entry fee is R40.00 for licensed runners and R55.00 for unlicensed runners which includes a temporary licence.
