With more than R20-thousand in prize money up for grabs at next weekend’s Greater Edendale Race, entries are coming in thick and fast. The 12th edition of the highly anticipated community road running event will be hosted on Sunday, 18 November 2018 at the FNB Wadley Stadium in Georgetown, Edendale.
The event remains one of the Comrades Marathon Association’s (CMA) most significant CSI initiatives, which is hosted in conjunction with the Msunduzi Municipality and the uMsunduzi Pietermaritzburg Tourism Association (MPTA).

Entries are also being taken at Comrades Marathon House – 18 Connaught Road in Scottsville between 09h00 and 16h00 until next Thursday (15.11.2018). Last minute entries will also be taken on race day at the FNB Wadley Stadium from 05h00 to 07h00.
CMA Chairperson Cheryl Winn says, “The Greater Edendale Race gives the youth an opportunity to participate in a fun and exciting community running event. It is heartening to see the positive impact that such an event has on the community and just how wonderfully this has grown over the past decade.”

Runners will be required to supply the following details when making their entry: First Name/ Surname/ Gender/ Cellular Number/ Identity Number/ Date of Birth/ Running Club/ License Number.
The event starts at 07h30 at the FNB Wadley Stadium in Georgetown, Edendale. The entry fee is R60.00 for licensed runners and R80.00 for unlicensed runners which includes a temporary licence.
